PodaaPodi in passport trouble

Posted by Hariharan Naidu

Behindwoods.com has reported these and there is no confirmation on this report. Seems to be a faulty one.

The debut film of Sarath Kumar’s daughter Vara Lakshmi, Podaa Podi, seems to be in trouble. Silambarasan was signed up to play her onscreen pair in the film. This venture failed to hit the floors due to a rift between the Chennai-based production house and Shanaya Telefilms.

The problem, according to the technicians signed up to work in Podaa Podi, is that their passports were impounded by the Mumbai-based production house Shanaya Telefilms. The technicians, assistant directors, and camera assistants say that they were to travel to Canada to participate in the 70-day shooting schedule and for this purpose they were asked to submit their passports to procure the Visas.

Though the shooting did not commence as planned, the production house refuses to hand over the passports, they aver. The issue has been taken up to the Thayarippu Nirvagial Sangam.

By Moviebuzz | Thursday, 05 February , 2009, 10:27

On the professional front, things are looking bright for actor Silambarasan.

He has signed up some interesting projects with some top production houses and the talks is that Sun Pictures has penciled him to do his 25th film rumoured to be a Tamil remake of Ranbir Kapoor’s Bachna Ae Haseeno with three top heroines.

And now Simbu has a career option in his hands. After crooning for a few hit numbers in recent films, music directors are waiting for his dates to sing in their albums. They say, he has a different voice which is a hit among the youth.

And last week he crooned for six songs for music directors like Dhina, Srikanth Deva, Dharan and Sabesh Murali. The young actors has also decided to have a change of image in 2009, as all the three films that he will be doing are soft romantic stories.

Adds Simbu with a smile: “This year, I will not be hitting anyone. Every hero in the industry big or small wants to do action films so I thought that I will romance for a change as I will not be able to do such roles after a point of time”
