First we see the mushy stills of Vinnaithandi Varuvaya, which hints at being an entirely different sort of endeavour for the Little Super Star – one that does not have the usual masala movie ingredients, but instead promises to be a classy romance. [Have you noticed the obvious likeness of the movie’s stills to famous stills from blockbuster romantic flicks like Minsara Kanavu and Uyire?] And now, we hear from reliable sources that the youngster is making another appearance on the small screen.

Everybody remembers his stint on Star Vijay with Jodi No. 1. There were controversial moments on the show that completely gelled with Simbu’s public image. But now, he’s planning to visit your drawing rooms in a more friendly and fun avatar, via a game show on Sun TV. The show promises to be fun and totally new – unlike anything we’ve had down South – and Simbu came across as the best bet to bring the show to the network's millions of viewers! The yet to be named show is likely to be launched by mid-2009
