Music is composed by Ganesh Raghavendra, the grandson of Veenai S Balachander. Simbu has sung the song "Thallakulam sandhiyila thagaraaru pannu" penned by Na Muthukumar.

The film is directed by R Panneerselvam, a disciple of Lingusamy. Looking like a boy who sells vegetables at the Koyambedu market, 18 year old Johnny is the hero of the film. Tanusha makes her debut as the heroine. As a child star, she has acted in about 30 films in 3 languages.
