Silambarasan aka Simbu is on cloud nine, as his latest Silambattam released last Thursday and has taken a good opening. The trade has declared the film a hit. Says a relieved and happy Simbu, “It is my biggest hit after Manmadhan and I just can’t ask for more! I wanted to get an image of a mass hero with Silambattam and I’m very happy that I’ve achieved it.” After the film’s release, the actor conducted two separate private shows of the film for his industry friends. In the first show, his role model and favourite hero Ajith and wife Shalini were present, along with a host of others. Interestingly, the climax of the film features Simbu in a Billa look and garnered loud praise and claps at the theatres. Other than the sequences, the songs of the film — particularly the hit number, Where is the Party, has been the talk of the town. The very next day, he held another screening at a preview theatre for Ilayathalapathy Vijay and his friends. Both the stars were full of praise for the young actor’s energy and enthusiasm which they thought was evident in the film. We hear that Vijay called Simbu aside and congratulated him on his dancing skills. “Eppadi Ippidiyellam dance panne,” is what he had to tell Simbu. Meanwhile, the Ultimate Star loved every minute of the film and was happy that the Billa look came out well in the climax.
